Final Standings

Hey there kids:

Sorry for the terribly delinquent response to the thread below about final standings etc. Things have been a bit hectic on this side of the world of late.

Anyway, the final standings are not entirely easy to ascertain, becuase we had a number of busted fixtures right at the end of the playoffs. Ultimately, it doesn't matter that much, because other than the Cup champion and the DLI champion, the rest of the standings are only used to do seeding pools for the next draw. I believe that Monmouth Town is the official winner of the DLI and so will be placed in the "top" seeding group. Any other questions will be resolved as we put the pools together, but we're also monitoring everyone's national cup progress, becuase it's gotten harder and harder to keep all the teams together as our cup runs have gotten longer.

In other words: we'll see what happens and work out a reasonable solution.

Plus, as we've seen, the competition can be so tight that the seeding pools hardly matter any more....

On a completely unrelated note, I would like to point out that Scott, Sic and I will be playing an actual football match in England on Friday in connection with a wedding that we are attending (not ours). Photos to follow after we get back!

Hey, I'm in England... never been jealous of me ;P

I was hoping to meet up with you guys but it's not going to be possible due to work issues :/

Next week all my coursework grades have to be in and so this weekend (and indeed the last two too) is a complete write-off!

Hope you guys have fun :)

I'd say it was about the best damn wedding I've ever been to.....

The footy match ended 0-0...

Now let's - see Barca or Arsenal?

I'm thinking Barca....
